The wonderful colour and character of the oak are a real feature of this piece, with a pleasing depth of colour, natural grain and mellow surface patina that can only be achieved through age. Its simple, well-balanced design gives it an understated presence, while the proportions make it both an attractive and practical piece of antique furniture. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior, making this an ideal blanket chest or useful storage piece for the home.
