We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Sevres style porcelain originates from the renowned French royal porcelain manufactory established in the 18th century, celebrated for its exquisite craftsmanship, vibrant ground colours, and detailed hand-painted portraits framed in gilded carttouches.

These items are typically crafted from hard-paste porcelain, featuring rich enamel glazes such as celestial or bleu celeste blue, accented with intricate hand-applied gilt motifs and fired multiple times to achieve a glossy, lustrous finish.

Authentic pieces often bear underglaze blue cipher marks, overglaze decorator signatures, or impressed numerical stamps on the base, alongside signs of age such as minor wear to the gilding and characteristic crazing within the glaze.

Antique porcelain vases serve as striking focal points when displayed on a mantelpiece, sideboard, or dedicated display console, contrasting sharply with clean-line contemporary furnishings to highlight their classical artistry.

Preserve these items by dusting them gently with a soft, dry cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners, and keeping them out of direct sunlight to protect the fragile hand-painted enamel and delicate gilding from fading.
