Quite uniquely, this clock has a case made from Cuban mahogany. Cuban mahogany is recognised by cabinet makers as being the best in the World.
However, the quality of the timber gives a finish unobtainable against any other and this clock fully demonstrates that.

The movement is of equal quality with no expense spared by the maker. A twin, chain driven fusee, 5 pillar movement that strikes the hours on a bell with a beautiful melodic sound. It has just been fully overhauled by our BHI registered staff.

The 8" dia. convex dial has black Roman numerals and fine cut hands. It is signed by the maker P. FORRESTER of HULL., as is the movement. It has a convex glass and cast brass bezel. It has a "London" style pendulum and a pendulum locking devise. A glazed, key lockable door to the rear.
The clock stands on four brass bun feet, with a gilt brass finial to the top and brass fish-scale sound frets to the side.
The height shown below excludes the finial.
