~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
The clockset is a brilliant depiction of adventure. A sailor at the helm of a small wooden boat, riding a boiling froth of a sea, full of life and vigor. Followed by Le pilote, the sailor explores a far off land and then La Rentree (the return) is a charming depiction of a mother and child.

The dial is enamel on copper with floral swags and finely fretted gilt brass hands.
The French movement is by Société Clusienne of Cluses near the Swiss border. It is of the good quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum has been replaced and it runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. It is unusual in having silvered plates. Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the figures is very good, there is some wear to the patination in places and a tiny repair to the babies finger. Dial is excellent with no chips or scratches. A stunning and unusual clockset to add to your collection.
