Antique 20th Century Mahogany Dental Cabinet | Milk Glass Lined

Antique early 20th century table top cabinet in mahogany, a neat and well-made piece of good quality, of the type made for dentists, jewellers and collectors, showcasing fine craftsmanship.

It has five drawers: two shallow drawers over two deeper drawers, above a deep lockable bottom drawer, all with turned ebonised knobs. The upper four drawers are lined with their white milk glass bases, and one is fitted with dividers, while the bottom drawer has a keyhole escutcheon.

The case is beautifully made with fine through dovetails to all four corners, and the top is fitted with a recessed brass campaign-style carrying handle, so it can be easily moved from room to room.

The mahogany displays a lovely figured grain and a warm, rich colour, with an attractive patina.

Presented in good condition with some minor signs of age and use consistent with its age. A very desirable and practical piece of compact proportions, perfect for jewellery, watches, collections, stationery or craft supplies on a desk or dressing table.
