Description

Early 20th century oak music / record cabinet of traditional form with a hinged fold-over top revealing a compartment suitable for a portable record player. The lower section is fitted with three fixed shelves originally intended for sheet music or record storage. The cabinet features attractive figured oak to the fall front with decorative moulded edging and stands on bracket feet. A compact and practical storage piece with good character.

The cabinet is structurally sound and presents well overall. There are general age related marks, scratches and surface wear consistent with use. Some staining and wear visible to the interior shelves. The hinged top and fall front both operate well. Overall a solid and usable example.
