Mary Gregory glass refers to glassware decorated with white enamel silhouettes, typically depicting children in outdoor settings, popular in the late 19th century.

These pieces are typically crafted from coloured blown glass, such as cranberry or ruby glass, hand-painted with opaque white enamel details fired onto the surface.

Authentic pieces generally feature hand-blown glass with polished pontil marks, raised white enamel with slight texture, and consistent wear patterns appropriate to the 19th century.

They can be displayed on dressing tables, mantelpieces, or open shelving to introduce rich colour accents and historical texture to modern spaces.

Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh chemical cleaners or submersion in water to protect the delicate white enamel decoration.
