Scavo glass features a frosted, corroded surface texture that mimics the appearance of ancient archaeological glass recovered from excavations.

Artisans utilised traditional glassblowing techniques, manipulating molten glass with hand tools, applying chemical treatments for iridescence, and shaping handles while hot.

Authentication relies on examining pontil marks, surface patination, weight, inconsistencies typical of hand blowing, and stylistic adherence to period manufacturing techniques.

Position the vessel on a mantelpiece, side table, or open shelf where natural light can accentuate its iridescent finish and textural surface.

Dust gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth and avoid using water, chemical solvents, or abrasive cleaners that might damage the delicate scavo surface.
