Georgian revival glassware emulates the classic, formal elegance and symmetrical proportions of 18th-century English designs, frequently featuring intricate hand-cut patterns.

These items are typically crafted from heavy lead crystal or flint glass, chosen for their clarity, weight, and capacity to refract light through complex cut patterns.

Authentic vintage and antique cut glass often exhibits slight hand-finished irregularities, polishing marks on the pontil, and a sharp, resonant ring when lightly tapped, unlike smooth modern machine-moulded glass.

A crystal jug can be utilised as a functional dining table centrepiece, repurposed as a vase for fresh botanical stems, or displayed on an open shelving unit to catch natural light.

Antique glass should be washed by hand using warm water and mild detergent, avoiding harsh abrasives and sudden temperature changes to prevent thermal shock and preserve the polish.
