Victorian glassware encompasses a diverse range of decorative and functional items produced during the reign of Queen Victoria, highly noted for technological innovations in colour chemistry and cutting techniques.

These pieces were typically mouth-blown from lead or soda-lime glass, often featuring layered cased glass techniques where a clear body was dipped in coloured glass before hand-cutting.

Authenticity is determined by examining pontil marks on the base, weight distribution, hand-cut facets with natural wear, and the specific chemical hues characteristic of 19th-century manufacturing.

Display the piece on a sideboard or bar cart to catch natural light, contrasting the rich tones against neutral surfaces for a sophisticated focal point.

Clean gently by hand using lukewarm water and mild detergent; avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemicals to protect the delicate surface and antique facets.
