Hi, I have for sale a superb quality Rosewood 8-day fusee timepiece four glass “Library” clock.
The single-chain fusee movement with anchor escapement signed on the backplate Johnson Of London.
The 4” silvered dial with Roman numerals and the dial also signed Johnson Of London..
The case is made with the finest rosewood veneers and beveled glass on both sides. and including the top window having a 10 mil bevel.CIRCA. 1850
The clock is just 24.5 cm in height x 16cm across and has a depth of 12cm.
The movement is an eight-day time only fully restored and serviced all running via the original pendulum to the rear.
The case retains the back door key the front has a lock but no key but stays perfectly closed.
Overall a rare small Libaray clock in amazing condition and keeping a great time.
