Chalfont Clocks has dated this piece to the 1890s.

Made by E.MAurice & Cie in Paris in around 1890, this clock was produced by one of the great carriage clock makers of the 19th century. With workshops at 75 Rue Charlot Paris, E.MAurice produced some of the finest enamel clocks of the period of which this is fine example. Typical of the makers’ clocks is also the silver chapter with recessed plaques for the black arabic numerals.
