Regency Brass Strung Fusee Drop Dial Clock

Description

Very good quality and elegant Regency mahogany and brass strung fusee drop dial wall clock by Thomas Kellitt of Thorne (South Yorkshire), circa 1820.

8 day fusee movement with a “passing strike” so it strikes once on every hour only and being wire driven it will keep very accurate time throughout the 8 days.

Octagonal case with a beaded edge, bow glass in original cast bezel and fan shaped spandrels.

The movement is in good working order.

Measuring:

Height is 27 1/2 inches or 70cm

Width is 17 inches or 43.5cm

Dial diameter is 12 inches

Depth is 6 inches or 15cm
