Hi
I have for sale a 1960s mahogany Comitti mantle clock in very good original condition for the age from the original owner’s estate with the floating balance movement so no need for leveling with the full Westminster chime, this clock cost a king''s ransom when new just serviced so running 100%.
The Case
The case is in solid mahogany and stands 29cm high x 20cm wide with a depth of 12cm it is in very good original condition well looked and has been well waxed for many years all standing on brass ball feet.
The Dial
The dial is in original good condition with a silvered chapter ring with the Roman numerals, with the original ornate hands which are original to this very old clock, and is signed by Comitti London.
The dial is housed in a glazed opening front door.
The Movement
The movement is an eight-day time and strike which strikes all quarters and full Westminster on the hour followed by each hour strike, this movement keeps spot on time over eight days.
...No need for leveling for a pendulum you can place this clock anywhere.
Overall a very beautiful mantle clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping a great time and looking even better. The photos do not do justice to this stunning old clock.
I will post worldwide.
