A charming 19th century antique carved oak coffer. The antique oak coffer has a hinged lid (retaining its original hinges) that opens to reveal a spacious interior with a candle box to the right hand side. The antique oak coffer has a three panel front with beautiful carved detailing. Raised on a later four legged base with straight stretcher supports. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the top, sides and front (pictured), further scratches and fading to the base (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique carved oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound.
