19th Cent Mahogany London Longcase Grandfather Clock

Description

A nice restrained 19th Cent Longcase Clock by William Ballantyne, London. He is listed as working there from 1815 to 1842.

The case is in nicely figured mahogany, has an arched hood, long door and stands on a paneled base.

The good quality 8 day movement strikes the hour on a bell. It hase a nice clear painted dial with subsidiary seconds dial and unusual trefoil hands.

The case is in good unrestored condition and is a lovely colour. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.

The maximum dimensions are:

211cm (83") high

46cm (18") wide

24cm (9.5") deep
