Mid C19th Mahogany Large Window Seat / Centre Stool

Description

Impressive mid C19th mahogany large window seat/centre stool; of unusually large scale and form; the slender turned arm rails raised on very shapely outscrolled supports above the large caned seat housed in a shaped seat frame with central carved foliate motifs. Raised on carved cabriole legs terminating in French scroll toes raised on original brass castors. Finished identical on both sides so can be used freestanding. Stamped numbers to the underside, certainly made by a renowned cabinet maker of the day.
