A particularly fine example of a clock by William Bilbie.
 
The elegant oak case, with a finely inlaid black and white star in the trunk door and the caddy topped hood having three rows of blind fret work.
 
The twelve inch square dial with subsidiary seconds, a large date aperture , and a beautifully engraved centre, signed William Bilbie, of Chew Stoke. The clock is of eight day duration, and stands only 7’ 1” high.
