This is an excellent set of solid sterling silver table spoons, dating from the reign of George III.
They are hallmarked for Edinburgh 1804 with the maker''s mark of Alexander Henderson. In the Old English pattern, they have a crest and initial to each finial. There are surface marks and abrasions, as one would expect, and one of the bowls is slightly bumpy to the touch. Nonetheless, they are a rare matching set that have survived together for well over 200 years.
