Ebonised Lancet Fusee Bracket Clock English King George III Period

A George III ebonised, fusee table clock in a brass strung Lancet style case.
 
The 8 day duration, 5 pillar, double fusee movement with an Anchor Recoil escapement and rack striking the hours on a rear-mounted bell. Also having pull repeating and a strike/silent selector mounted on the backplate which has geometric border engraving that is also applied to the backcock, hammer cock and pendulum locking block. The lower portion of the backplate also bears a maker''s name cartouche with conforming patterning and reads ''Gibson. Royal Exchange LONDON''.
 
Behind a 7'' diameter, bowed and painted iron dial. The cream coloured background has black outer Arabic 5''s, a divided minute track and inner Roman hour numerals applied in the mid 18th century style and also has conforming blued steel pierced hands. The cast brass locking bezel has a snapped-in bowed glass with a bevelled edge.
