Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.

Secure Transit

FAQs

Victorian furniture encompasses styles produced during the reign of Queen Victoria, generally marked by eclectic revivals of historical motifs, solid construction, and functional domestic designs.

Cabinet makers of the era frequently utilised native softwoods such as Scots pine alongside imported hardwoods like mahogany, walnut, and oak, often finished with brass hardware.

Authentic pieces typically display hand-cut dovetail joints, traditional slotted screws, minor surface imperfections, and construction methods consistent with pre-industrial or early industrial workshop production.

This piece can be incorporated into contemporary spaces by pairing it with neutral walls and minimalist decor to highlight the natural wood grain and historical character.

Preserve wooden surfaces by maintaining stable indoor humidity levels, avoiding direct sunlight, and treating periodically with traditional beeswax rather than modern silicone polishes.
