This large late nineteenth-century Continental European double wardrobe is made of natural pine with a warm brown timber colour and a bare wood finish. The Victorian rustic farmhouse piece has a carved scroll pediment, arched door mouldings, and fluted pilasters, standing on bracket feet with a flat plinth base. It incorporates two tall panelled doors with brass keyhole escutcheons, plus a shaped crown, decorative side posts, and two long rectangular panels set into the plinth. The wardrobe measures 247 cm high, 186 cm wide, and 61 cm deep, and it fully dismantles for easy transport and access. Inside, it holds a top shelf and includes a new hanging rail, while the flat top surface supplies extra storage where ceiling height permits. It provides a practical and generous storage solution for a bedroom, dressing room, or large landing in a modern home.

Late nineteenth-century pine wardrobes were crafted primarily during the Victorian era, featuring solid pine construction, decorative pediments, moulded panel doors, and knock-down designs for ease of transport.

These wardrobes were built using hand-planed pine planks, traditional mortise and tenon joinery, dovetail joints, and wooden wedge or screw locking systems that allowed the frame to dismantle completely.

Authentic pieces display evidence of hand-carving, irregular joinery markings, historic saw marks on unexposed back panels, and natural age-related shrinkage around wood knot areas.

A natural pine armoire introduces texture and warm wooden tones to contemporary bedrooms, pairing well with neutral plaster walls, natural linen textiles, and understated modern furnishings.

Apply clear beeswax polish periodically along the grain to nourish the timber, prevent desiccation, and maintain a protective layer against atmospheric moisture changes.
