This clock has a bell strike on the hour and one for the half hour. This clock has ''countwheel'' strike which means that you can choose to run the clock silently if you wish. This early ''pendule portative'' as they are known in France is a truly portable clock as it has a silk suspension, this means you do not have to worry about removing the pendulum if placing the clock in a different room.
