A fine ''gorge'' cased carriage clock by the famous Henri Jacot with push repeat. Serial number 12541 and stamped between the plates with the Henri Jacot oval stamp and the H.J.Parrot stamp to the backplate. The clock retains its original high quality silvered platform and jewelled lever escapement and strikes on a soft French gong for the hours and half hours. Repeat function can be depressed at any time and will repeat the last hour. The enamel dial features Roman numerals with the typical inner Jacot ring and the original blued steel hands. The rear of the dial is signed with the H.J. this was painted on by the dial makers and numbered to match the clock. Thick bevelled glass to all sides.
