The front canted edges are inlaid with brass strip. The sides have acanthus and ring carrying handle
...s which are mounted above rectangular sound apertures with red cloth-backed, brass ''fishscale'' frets. The plain back has a full-size glazed and locking door and the case is mounted upon 4 cast brass ball-and-plate feet.
Dimensions: 19'' high including the finial x 11'' wide x 6 1/2'' deep.
Condition: The movement is running, keeping to time and striking correctly however it would benefit greatly from a full overhaul. The strike/silent selection lever requires work and the repeating trip piece with cord has been removed. The pendulum rod is broken at the top and the rating thread requires extending. The movement fixing brackets are original but have been repaired. The case is excellent with slight damage and age cracks but it is of sound construction. The dial has been recently restored.
Price: The price is for the clock in its present and working condition. A price and timescale for any work required by the purchaser can be advised upon enquiry,
