A beautiful 1890s, solid rosewood, mantel clock in great condition for the age with the best inlay money can buy, containing pewter, copper, brass, maple, mother of peril, and bone.
The Case:
Crafted from rosewood, stands 18 high x 11” wide with a depth of 5.5”. It is in very good original condition and has been well waxed and maintained over the years, giving the wood a glowing sheen. The dial surround is decorated with an intricate gilded flower detail. The case door to the rear also has a lock.
The Dial:
In good condition. The white is still fresh and clean looking and the original gilt cupid''s arrow hands are still present. The numbering is in Roman numerals the whole dial looks great neatly set into the shimmering case.

The Movement:
An eight-day with time and strikes on an outside count wheel, striking a bell for each hour and half hour and a solid brass bob pendulum. The movement was fully serviced two months ago so is keeping accurate time over eight d
...ays.
