A miniature Victorian English Fusee skeleton clock made around the 1890s as an apprentice piece. It comes complete with the original mahogany base and mint condition glass dome, through which is displayed fine five-spoke wheel work, running via the platform escapement.
The Case:
In solid brass, stands 7” high 3” in width with a depth of 2''. When the dome is inplace the whole item is 11” high x 5” wide x 5 in depth. It is in perfect condition standing on a solid Mahogany wooden base, it is very heavy with thick heavy plates, a top-quality antique clock.
The Dial:
In good original condition, silvered with black Roman numerals, the clock also retains its original black spade hands.
The Movement:
An eight-day time only, the movement has been fully serviced so keeping a great time over the eight days via the original platform escapement.
Overall, a beautiful English skeleton clock which looks stunning on display and contains all its original features - quite a rar
