Description

A fine Chippendale mahogany secretaire bookcase.

This attractive & quality bookcase with 2 astragal glazed doors open to reveal original shelves with moulded mahogany facings. The Cavetto cornice with a dentil mounded decoration.

The secretaire fall opens to reveal an attractive & extremely useful arrangement of drawers & pigeon holes. The central cupboard door concealing a secret hidden drawer.

The lower pair of doors open to reveal the original slides. Supported on original shaped bracket feet.

The secretaire drawer with original gilt brass rococo style handles of a pattern much favoured by Chippendale.

NB: the slight glare on the glass is just from the light reflecting.
