This is a novelty clock from the later half of the 20th century, powered by the weight of its twenty four steel ball bearings as they descend around the carousel wheel and are deposited in the green base trough in the base of the case. The can however be spring driven – wound by the spokes of the main wheel – and will run for approx 9 days.
