Beautiful Antique French Mahogany Mantel Clock With Ormolu Mounts And Finials.This beautiful French mantel clock has a wonderful shaped case made of mahogany with a fantastic rich colour. The whole case then has a selection of shaped brass, ormolu mounts which set the case off beautifully. The stepped top then has a total of eight shaped brass finials as well as inset ormolu panels with beautiful designs. Finally the sides of the case have lovely glass panels with brass, ormolu frames so that the movement can be viewed. A truly unusual shaped case of absolutely fantastic quality.The dial is then enamel and set out in black Roman numerals as well as smaller red Arabic numerals on the quarters setting out the minutes as well as a thin ring marking each minute.
