Miniature Walnut Longcase Clock

Description

This eight day longcase clock is unusually small in a diminutive walnut case with box and ebony stringing and mirrored barley twist columns flanking the dial, takes the form of an early english clock from the 17th century.

The high quality 8 day weight driven movement, rack striking on a bell with a long pendulum, was made in the best tradition of english clock making sometime around the 1900’s. Having a brass dial with silvered chapter ring with floral engraving and well cast brass baroque cherub spandrels and fancy blued hands
