18th Century Welsh Oak Panelled Coffer

A well proportioned 18th century Welsh oak panelled coffer or blanket box. The antique oak coffer has three decorative arched panels to the front and is raised on stile feet. The hinged lid opens to reveal a spacious interior. A rather good example.

CONDITION REPORT:
 
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and minor losses to the frame (pictured) and staining to the lid (pictured). Overall the Welsh oak coffer is structurally solid and functional and retains its original hinges.
