Chalfont Clocks has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This clock has exquisite bone inlay, that is further engraved and picked out in ink to add extra depth to the foliate scrolls and swags contrasting with the ebony body, the dial is flanked by 2 Corinthian columns with trompe l'oeil fluting picked out in bone with brass capitols. The diminutive proportions make it particularly rare and useful.
The two train movement is of an unusual square formation.
This is an extremely attractive clock retailed by one of the great 19th Century names.
