The bezel has the original working lock and key and the movement has been recently overhauled and in excellent condition.
In 1841 the Dent family's revered ability to make the finest domestic timepieces brought the company a Royal Warrant as the official watch and clockmaker to Her Majesty Queen Victoria and Hrh Albert Prince of Wales. The Dent family also constructed 'Big Ben'.

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I recommend collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. If the brackets are removed I can also post this item tracked and insured. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own.
