Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco perfume atomisers from the 1930s are distinguished by geometric forms, bold faceted crystal cuts, and streamlined metal hardware. Often featuring squeeze bulbs with decorative tassels, these pieces combined functional vanity utility with the modern aesthetic of the era.

These atomisers were typically crafted from hand-cut lead crystal or heavy glass paired with nickel, chrome, or silver-plated brass fittings. The spray mechanism relied on a rubber bulb enclosed in woven fabric, often finished with silk or cotton tassels.

Authentic 1930s atomisers display sharp geometric cutting, hand-finished metalwork, and period-accurate atomiser heads often marked by maker patents. Original bulbs may show minor wear or replacement, but the crystal base usually features crisp chamfered or faceted edges typical of the decade.

Place the atomiser on a mirrored vanity tray, dressing table, or bathroom shelf to highlight its reflective crystal facets. Grouping it alongside vintage glass trays, brass accessories, or framed art adds texture and historic charm to modern vanity spaces.

Dust the exterior glass and metal fittings gently with a soft microfibre cloth, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners on coloured or flashed areas. To prevent deterioration of the textile bulb and tube, keep the piece away from direct sunlight and moisture.
