A most wonderful and rare gilt bronze Wedgwood mounted 5 piece clock garniture of large size.
The gilding is original and slightly rubbed in parts , but certainly not offensive . All the jasperware is stamped Wedgwood for 1870 . The movement bears the retailor J.W.Benson . 25 . Old Bond St. This was their address for 1872 to 1880 .
Condition and sizes .
Clock , Gilding excellent with very slight rubbing in parts the jasperware perfect . The movement has not been touched but works well . Height 39cms,width 32cms , depth17cms .
Candelabra . Gilding excellent , jasperware all perfect . Height 44cms , width 39cms , depth 9cms .
Vases . gilding good . all jasperware perfect with the exception of undetectable restoration to two of the very small handles . Lids and bodies perfect . Height 24.5cms , width 11.5cms , depth 8.5cms .
In all a most unusual and attractive five piece garniture .
