Description

A L'Epee French brass 11 jewel carriage clock with 8 day movement, roman white enamel dial, bevelled glass, Swiss lever platform escapement, and key.

The timepiece is marked 'L'Epee' to the dial and the inside rear is marked 'Made in France. 11 eleven jewels', with the impressed L'Epee crossed sword seal present.

The timepiece is of an extremely attractive design with a band of black to the top ridge and black hinge casings to the brass handle.

The brass shows some light scratches in places, with some small areas of brass tarnish to the top and sides particularly (please see photographs). It does not take much movement for the rear door to come open but it does remain closed when the clock is in situ. The timepiece is in full working order.

Overall the timepiece remains in a very good attractive condition.
