This 1910 Colonial style mahogany chest displays a dark brown finish with rich grain patterns across its rectangular timber surfaces. Horizontal reeded mouldings run along the upper and lower borders, complemented by dark forged iron strapwork traversing the top, sides and front corners. Riveted metal brackets reinforce the edges, while a large decorative iron escutcheon sits centrally on the front lid and drop-down latch plate.
