There have also been a number of books produced, two of them will be supplied with this clock (Paul Phillip Barraud by Cedrick Jagger). This clock is an original Verge, twin fusee 'Break' arch, ‘Bracket clock’ with pull repeat and hourly strike on a bell. The dial is a full painted enamel dial showing Roman numerals, Strike – Silent to the arch and the makers name. The dial is the original. The signed and engraved backplate of the movement shows the pendulum rod and verge ‘bob’. The case is constructed in Oak with Mahogany veneer and solid Mahogany mouldings, standing on four bracket feet with a handle to the top and fish scale brass fretwork to both sides. The clock is very attractive and will be on display in our showrooms should you wish to view after lockdown. The clock is circa 1805 and at the height of the Barrauds period. The Strike - Silent facility if you hadn't guessed is of course to silence the clock if you would rather it didn't strike. The clock has been fully dismantled and overhauled and carries our 24 month guarantee.
