Here we have a very attractive little striking carriage clock which has just been fully overhauled in our workshop. (We mention this as we have had a look on this website and noticed a few clocks for sale which have not been serviced and could mean the clock may not work properly). This clock has a fully hand engraved case in the ''corniche'' style, the dial mask is also engraved and the dial features blued steel ''Breguet'' hands and a perfect Roman numeral ''face''. The clock has a bell strike which is for the half hours and hours. The original silvered escapement and all bevelled glass. Supplied with a 24 month guarantee in writing. This clock was most likely made around 1880 when similar clocks were also being made with a gong strike.
