A lovely dark red faux tortoiseshell japanned long case clock, with well executed chinoiserie decoration, depicting pagodas, figures and bridges. The sides with typical stylised chrysanthemum flower panels.
The 12'' break arch brass dial signed Joseph Stockford of Thame, on the boss in the arch, and with calendar aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, having an eight day duration movement.
Fully restored and guaranteed.
The height is only 83'' to the hood, and 84'' including the removable finials.
