Elegant late 18th/early 19th Century French Directoire period ormolu mounted white marble urn shaped mantel clock by Gaston Jolly. White marble body with a tapered lobbed underside sitting on a sophisticated slim waist socle base. White marble ball finial on a gilt bronze socle. Ormolu mounted stepped grey Bardiglio marble base sitting on 4 machine turned bun feet. Fine ormolu bezel and elegant late 18th Century hands. White enamel dial signed ''Gason Jolly ą Paris'' in a gold painted scroll cartouche. 8 day silk suspension movement. France, circa 1800.
