Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Royal Doulton stoneware refers to high-fired ceramic items produced predominantly at the Lambeth factory in London from the late 19th through the early 20th century, characterised by salt glazes, incised patterns, and molded relief decoration.

Traditional stoneware vases are constructed from dense clay fired at high temperatures, often treated with salt glazes, coloured slip finishes, or lead-free liquid glazes to create tactile surface textures and varied colour bands.

Authentic period stoneware usually features impressed manufacturer backstamps or logos on the base, along with artist initials, pattern numbers, and visible wheel-thrown or slip-cast production marks.

An antique stoneware vase works well as a sculptural standalone object on a mantelpiece, open shelving, or a sideboard, complementing earthy colour palettes, natural timber finishes, and contemporary minimalism.

Stoneware should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth and washed gently by hand using lukewarm water and mild dish detergent, avoiding harsh chemical cleaners and abrasive scouring pads.
