French Striking Mahogany Lyre Clock 19th Cent.

Description

Very flamboyant 19th cent French 8 day mahogany and ormolu Lyre clock, striking the hours and half hours on a bell.

Finely cast gilt bronze mounts centered with the " Sun King ".

Gilt bronze dial with floral and acanthus leaf decoration with Roman numerals and blued steel hands.

The movement with outside countwheel and silk suspension and pendulum bob with mirror image of the Sun King.

Fully overhauled and guaranteed for one year.
