A fine and exceptionally large carriage clock by the well respected maker Charles Vincenti of Paris. The back plate is stamped C.V. and numbered. Vincenti was a superb maker and produced clocks for several of the large and prestigious London retailers of the late Victorian period. This giant carriage clock is shown here with movement unrestored. It is remarkable and giant in every way, although it does have a soft/mellow gong strike. 8 day duration with unusually large balance wheel, in fact the whole clock is beautifully made and the ''Satin'' gilt case substantial yet soft .
