A fine Regency bracket clock of small proportions with strike-silent to the back plate. This shape of this fine Regency clock is now quite rare and was only made during the early 1800''s. This ebonised example has cast bracket feet, a cast bezel and a good size pad top with carry handle. The clock has a fine quality 8 day fusee movement which has an engraved back plate, the bell to strike the hours (If desired) and the pendulum.

The dial has the preferred ''Breguet'' style hands with Roman numerals and makers name. Kenneth Maclennan was a fine maker and was commissioned to make a Planetarium for the Royal Institute in 1801. His career started in 1778 in St'' Martins Lane (The May''s Building) and retired in 1825. The clock is currently being restored and will be ready soon.
