Its About Time has dated this piece to the 1900s.
Circa 1900. This carriage clock has been fully restored. The case has been fully dismantled, cleaned and lacquered. The movement has benefited from a complete overhaul which included the escapement. The clock was retailed by Lawson and Son of Brighton. Lawson and Son are listed in the Watch and Clockmakers of the World Vol 2 as working from 1870. This clock with it's angular, 'deco' style looks very turn of the century.
