Welsh coffor bach, or small chest, in dense native oak and of particularly small size. The detachable lid is fixed with typical Welsh wooden hinges over the box section with three square raised and fielded panels, above a protruding base with a pair of drawers, and raised on a plinth with shaped bracket ends.
Cleaned and re-waxed by a museum conservator.
