Description

Nicely proportioned two-part Welsh oak food cupboard, the upper section with a bold cornice above a pair of panelled doors enclosing a shelved interior and flanked by reeded canted corners, over a base of four drawers raised on bracket feet.
The top panels are of a particularly unusual and elaborate design. The interior retains much of its historical limewash finish. Good colour and surface patination with signs of wear, especially around the sides and base.

(Restoration: Some old replacements - two backboards, baseboard to top half, one base return moulding, two side feet; upper shelf missing; replaced handles)

Width across top of base: 49.5 inches; 126 cms. Width of cornice: 52.5 inches; 133.5 cms.
Depth of base: 20 inches; 51 cms. Depth of cornice; 21.5 inches; 54.5 cms.
