An 8 day duration single train mahogany Norwich clock which has a 14'' painted dial with an octagonal mahogany surround. The clock measures 56''(1423mm) in maximum length.
 
John Robert Parker started a clockmaking company in New Walsingham, Norfolk in 1846. He also had premises in Fakenham. The business continues to the present day.
 
The Norwich clock is a late iteration of the tavern clock and as it''s name suggests originated in Norfolk where it was most popular. These are attractive reliable timekeepers which will grace any home today.
